We arrived early than expected and close by our hotel, which mad the walk a lot shorter and easy than anticipated.
We checked in and went to our rooms. We had booked a tube each for just one night. Just to try it. We were both excited about it. Downstairs we booked a trip to Cu Chi tunnels the next day.
After leaving our stuff at the hotel we went out for dinner at an Indian restaurant which meant that we had to run for a toilet a little later.
We walked around Saigon, which is a very modern and beautiful city compared to Hanoi. It's not as charming and authentic but definitely more beautiful.
We saw the evening markets and the operas and the rich areas by night, everything looked so fancy and charming by night.
Back in the hotel we kissed goodnight and went for our tubes. It's really weird to sleep in a tube, but also fun. You have the bed, a mirror, small 'table' and a television. What more do you need?
Next day we got ready for our trip, checked out and left our stuff, before we went out for breakfast.
The Cu Chi tunnels trip is described in another entry.
