Israel 2018. Day 1
Another Awesome Adventure
We are so excited to have this wonderful opportunity to see where Jesus walked when he lived here on earth!
We began this journey this morning with a rather bumpy start—we managed to forget our nicest camera at home! Thanks to our wonderful daughter,Andrea, she will be overnighting it to friends we are staying with in Passaic, New Jersey. Hopefully it will get there tomorrow (Saturday). We took off from KCI on time (7:20 am) & we’re grateful for the expedited check in we received due to our global entry passes! The pilot has told us that there may be some turbulence due to stormy weather in the New York area but so far everything has been fairly smooth. Shortly after I typed that it got rather bumpy for a ways! Landing went well despite the rain that is falling here! Pastor picked us up & we are enroute to his house! Our camera is be overnighted to the pastors house & should arrive before noon tomorrow so all is well! Thank God for safe travels! We had a delicious lunch when we arrived at his house & then we took a short nap. Somehow James & the pastor are able to communicate through a lot of sign language & pictures! Reuben & Doris’ oldest son came over in the afternoon to help with translating so we all could understand each other better! We enjoyed a delicious dinner while visiting with Reuben & Doris & then went to the church fellowship hall where they practiced music for Sunday’s church service! Came home & headed to bed after a long but eventful day!

Vickie Great pic. What nationality is the Pastor? No English? Did the camera arrive?
