ok well we were delayed for 2 hours at heathrow... bangkok what can i say.... they drive like idiots!! red lights, seatbelts in the back and the lines on the road (including the middle one) dont mean wnaything to these peopl!! we got a taxi from airport i thought i was going to die and they speed so badly!! hotel was nice but too busy for me. we got schemed on our first day by a taxi driver he took us to 2 shops we went in and walked straight bk out again!!! so we got to see the sights for 20 baht (about 35pish) and didnt have to buy anything else so more fall him i say!! lol so not a very good start to trip! plus the taxi got so close to another while driving i could actually reach out and touch the other people (axis are called tuk tuks!! and are bikes with carts!
anyway we tried to go to the grand palace but we were not wearing the aproppiate clothing so didnt bother just took photos of outside lol and lazied by pool for the rest of the day!! the group i am touring with are lovely have meet some good fun people!!

the night train was an experience!! not one id like to repeat however!! especailly as the taxi we got to the train station nearly crashed... he went onto the other side of the road to drive into on coming traffic!!! like i said no rules!! anyway... got about 2hours sleep that night!! me and caz tried our first lager!! followed by a 3hours bus journey... when we got to krabi i was happy!! was such a cute little beach town!! rode elephants here and was amazing, the next day we went on a speed boat to island around that coast of thailand... here we snorkled with fish twice!!! lol i found nemo and dori too! ha ha i also got to see maya bay (where the film 'the beach' was filmed) that was gorgeous so glad i saw it could not believe i was walking the same beach as leonardo dicaprio!! we also saw monkey beach and chicken island which is a island which looks like a chicken, monkey beach however is where monkeys actually live!! that night we found an irish bar and got a little drunk as vodka red bull was only 60 baht (1.05ish) so was good!! but stil had thai food in the irish bar have done alot of shopping in krabi as so cheap but have to barter which is a little scary but is ok when u get into it!! on our last day in krabi we got a taxi boat to ril lay west bay which is a gorgeous beach i got burnt a little here!! :( we then came bk and it started tipping it down for about 2 hours and thundering and lightning which is gutting.

we crossed the thai border yesterday(tuesday 17th) to get to penang, malaysia! it was like 10 hours on a bus!! its a small city which is ok but very different than thailand not sure about it really. walked around and saw some temples today but thats all there is to really see! although last night (tuesday 17th) me and caz got drunk on tiger lager which was an experience it tastes quite nice to be fair!! lol we ended up in a pub called soho and it was ok went with the rest of the group!! lol we leave for camron heights tomorrow which is not meant to have much to do apart from looking at butterflies!! lol might be nice and peacful though! jet lag stil not gone completely :(-STEPH-
