We have gradually been moving north up the coast of Goa. Our second stop was at a resort called Agonda. I loved it here. We stayed in a lovely beach hut and the beach was less crowded with Indian's forcing you to look at what they have to sell, it was more unspoilt than the first resort. We did not stay too long as the evenings could get quite boring and we found ourselves sitting in the same bar spending lots on the local brew called Fenny. Very cheap and very strong, it is their version of tequila. The man that owned the bar was called Sandy and sat with us most nights as we were the only ones still up drinking, he was lovely and we fired him with questions about India and living here.
As we moved further North; finding accomadation got a little bit tougher and they were not as nice for the money we were paying. The beaches also got worse, still lovely though. The worst beach is spoilt by the many oil rigs that we can see in the distance but the resort itself is far more than just a beach. It has a lot of personality and is the place where all the hippies came years ago and still come today. We are staying in a guest house where the family also live. It is great to be around the family and have more of an insight into the way they live. The mother is quite scary though and seems to shout at her five sons a lot, especially the youngest who is very cheeky.
We have one more resort to see and then we are leaving to stay with some friends of Annie in Bangalore, I am looking forward to a hot shower! After that we head down to Kerella in the far south of India for yet more stunning beaches.
