After a very broken sleep due to jet lag I got up an met the girls from the night before - Liz, Emma and Sive at 10am. We walked into the centre of town to find some breakfast, past the Central square. We found a lovely balcony restaurant and I had my first helping of rice and beans and Plantain - it was actually really nice, and cheap at $4. Feeling very full we went to explore.
Somehow I found myself in a Bank Gold Museum. Have paid $8 entry I was expecting something pretty impressive. Instead, it was two floors explaining the history of Costa Rican currency in Spanish, one floor of extremely messed up art, and another slightly better floor with models.
We went for a walk down the Main Street next, to a Central Park and then a big park about 2km out of the centre. On our way back there was a massive thunderstorm, luckily I had my rain coat!
Once back I got ready to meet the group in the lounge area. There was 16 of us although two were missing, James and Rachel! Out guide was Marcella. In the group there was two Ozzie girls, Cill and Addie, one Swiss guy, Sven, one Italian, Vito, a Californian girl, michaela and the rest british - Jonny, Alice, Leigh-Anne and the doctors! We went for a meal and then an early night.
