Day 1: Liftoff!

Hello and welcome to A Girl's Guide to solo travelling with me your host, Catherine. For those who don't know me, I'm a recent graduate seeking thrills and adventure. First stop Christchurch via the rather large and imposing Dubai international airport...

After a pleasant flight from Manchester with Emirates, I land into Dubai at 00:45 local time, and with a good 9 hours until my connecting flight leaves i needed to find some entertainment! Luckily I find accessing wifi simple and free and also locate the nearest Burger King (sorry had to be done!). So whilst munching down a whopper meal at 30 RAE I get to writing my diary and this blog :). I also tried desperately to stay awake in a vain attempt to adjust to New Zealand time.

So now I only have a couple more hours until boarding. Next stop: New Zealand baby!!!
