Chilling island style!
Bleary eyed and incredibly sweaty, I arrived at the four thousand Islands at around 6:30am. Sadly as always in Laos, the bus ends is never drops you off where you want to be. So hopefully for the last time I boarded the customary tuk tuk and gave away more KIP. After tuk tuk was a boat and.... Finally I was on don det, the apparently more party island out of them all. I quickly found a fairly decent bungalow on the sunset side. However I changed the next day to sunrise. You get a lot more for your buck and we found a gorgeous restaurant with newly refurbished bungalows called Mama Lueah. Their coffee shake is the best!
I spent most of my time either lying in a hammock, swimming in the river or cycling round. There are a few cool waterfalls you can cycle too and a boat tour to see dolphins (however it's better to see them in Kratie, Cambodia!)
So a very chilled few days after the energetic time in Laos. Next stop is Cambodia!
