Arrived in Moscow early in the morning on thursday to meet our very enthusiastic honcho who we weren't so enthusiastic to see as we all hadn't slept much the last couple of days and were very tried and just wanted to see our beds but knew we had a day of sight seeing ahead of us. We all checked into the hostel which was much nicer than the last and went off to explore a much warmer city. We visited the red square and within that saw lenins body which was a bit surreal. We also went to st.basils cathedral which was beautiful and then wondered around seeing as much of the city as possible. That evening we visited the revolution museum which was really interesting as our honcho had a lot of knowledge that she shared with us. Yesterday we visited the Kremlin and the armoury which was pretty impressive, the faberge eggs were amazing. We then had some lunch which consisted of some russian style fast food, sweet and savoury pancakes which are really good!.our honcho then guided us around some more of the city, taking us to a flea market which unfortunately was closed but we could see the stalls and get an idea of what it would have been like. We went out last night but couldn't get into the club as they wanted id and our hostel had our passports for our visa registration so we just found a bar to chill out in for a while and then headed back to get some sleep. It is soo expensive over here tho especially to go out as the drinks and entry prices are very similar to london prices. We have been spending a lot of time dodging icicles and the crazy russian parking but all in all have been having an amazing time and a right laugh with the 6 other friends we have made from our group we are with. Now have to go and pack to be ready to leave at midday today to catch our train to Irkutsk which will take 3 days so will be without internet for a while. Will update our blog as soon as we can.
