Wet and Cool
We woke to rain this morning which meant we had to cancel golf at Launceston Golf Club. Instead we booked in for the 1pm tour of Boag's Brewery which is in town. We went shopping in the morning and were quite surprised at the variety and quality of shops in Launceston. We were able to park right in the centre of town on the street and next to the mall which has a Myer and Target.
The rain didn't let up and we filled in a couple of hours wandering around and had a coffee.
The tour at Boag's was excellent They issued us with plastic eye wear and a fluro vest, charged us $30 and took us through the areas of the brewery showing us the processes of making the beer through to the bottling. Unfortunately there was no beer making happening being a weekend so he could only explain what goes on. Of course the best part of the tour was the tasting, we tried 3 of the beers accompanied by 3 different cheeses. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and I felt the tour was much better than the one I had done at Cascade in Hobart a few years ago.
We returned to the apartment and finished packing, then said our goodbyes to Dad and headed to the airport.
Catching the 6pm flight home we were met by Christof and Nadine once again.
