Wednesday 1 August 30C Reims to
Paris. Today is the last day of our holiday and so this is our final entry. We
caught the train from Reims to Paris this morning and left our bags at the
hotel as check-in was not until 3pm. The sales have finished and all the autumn
fashions have arrived in the shops, I was surprised how quickly they cleared
out the sale items and had the new stock ready to sell overnight. I wandered
around and looked but it was too hot to think of buying winter clothes.

The air-conditioning was not
working at the hotel so we were moved to another about 2km down the road close to the Opera. We
enjoyed our last night out in a small restaurant just around the corner. This
area is very popular with bars and brassieres and lots of young people. We are
packed and ready for our limousine pick up at 7:20am Thursday.
