Day 90 - 4.30am and we were awake (unbelievable I know!) and buying a pie and an apple turnover (much more believable!) at the 24 hour bakery. With a two kilometre walk to Byron Bay lighthouse once we had reached Captain Cook lookout, it started to get light as we followed the road uphill. We made it there to see a breathtaking red sky and shortly after the sun popped up over the ocean - an amazing moment. After spending a while admiring the view we walked back down the coastal path and stopped to stand at Australia's most Eastern point before heading back through the trees and past turkeys to Captain Cook lookout and into town. With bags packed, coffee drunk (for Olivia) and lunch bought we caught the shuttle to the greyhound. Our journey consisted of hawaiian pizza , seeing kangaroos fighting, Madagascar and viewing Coffs Harbour's big banana!
