Me again! Had a fantastic few weeks since our Whitsundays tour travelling down the East Coast. Can't beleive its only 12 days to Christmas. Currently in Byron Bay having a wicked time although more about that later!

After our Fraser tour and Noosa we headed down to Brisbane - which ended up being a bit crazey and didn't really see that much of BrisVegas although we had a few cracking nights out and a good day in Australia Zoo ( bit sad without Steve tho!) Only stayed around Brisbane for a couple of days as there wasnt much we wanted to do, so went shopping and went to see the new bond film (it was the only thing our hungover bodies could cope with!)

After Brisbane we headed to Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast for some rest and relaxation. Stayed in an awesome hostel - an old hotel turned into a backpackers - so Anna and I were loving the pool, spa, tennis courts, tv and double beds! Met up with Team Sweden (- a Swedish couple who were on our Whitsundays tour who we have seen in every hostel since!) and some English people and had some entertaining evenings including the worlds best room party! Spent the days getting totalled by the giant waves on the beach and sunbathing (our tans were starting to fade!)

After a brilliant few days in Surfers we rather glumly left our friends behind and headed to Byron Bay - which has been amazing! Met some wicked people - including random people also from Leeds, and spent our time learning how to surf and sunbathing (surprise surprise!) Surfing was the most fun - im so over diving! I was surprisingly good and managed to stand up on the first wave. Had such a fun time, altho i cant move today beacuse im in soo much pain - and its raining so hiding in an internet cafe yet again! Annas gone snorkelling but im too tired to swim and am saving my pennies for more surfing!

Leaving Byron Bay tommorrow night on a killer 11 hour bus journey, will be so sad to leave its such a fun place. Really hippyesque - we're even learning how to make our own didgeridoos in our hostel! Heading to Newcastle tommorrow for some sun and surf and then down to Sydney on Sunday night before heading out to the Blue Mountains for a couple of days of outdoor fun!We've then got 18 days in Sydney - 9 in Bondi and 9 in Central Sydney to fit around our plans for Christmas and New Year....really excited and cant wait! Looking forward to meeting up with all our buddies we've met along the way!

Will try write again before Christmas to give you an update! Missing the English festivities - just doesn't feel like Christmas!
