Me again!
Well this will be a short one as Adelaide is pretty dull!!! Flew to Adelaide for 2 nights after our 10 days in the beautiful Perth (where i picked out my future palatial mansion) and cant say we did much! The first day was spent travelling and wandering round the city centre! Our hostel was lovely and spacious - Anna and I had our dorm to ourselves, but as it was soo big it was hard to meet anyone! Everyone we met was old or weird! So our plan of meeting some young people was not sucessful!
So after an early and boring first night, we got up and visited the Botanic Gardens (v briefly as it was cold!) and headed over to the National Wine Museum (the only interesting landmark in the city centre!) . The museum was pretty interesting, and we had a lovely glass of red wine overlooking the gardens (how civilised!) Wandered around Adelaide - which had lots of shops - depressing when you cant buy anything! Spent about 2 hours trawling the streets for a bar - im sure we must have looked like alchys! Finally found a bar and spent the remainder of our time drinking red wine in the sunshine! So despite Adelaides dullness its not a bad way to spend an afternoon!
Currently on route on the Great Ocean Road but will fill you in when ive seen more - the drive through SA was pretty cool - and the lake at Mount Gambier was the most amazing Sapphire Blue Colour. Lots of vineyards too!
Off to eat pizza and have a well deserved drink after all our driving - so far not run over any roos (altho saw some dead ones :( ). Saw some hideous snakes on the road - definately put my foot down then!
