So, today is Tuesday right? I fly out of Livingstone for Jo\'Burg yesterday, along with about 8 other people from the backpackers I was staying with. I teamed up with Jess and all we\'ve done is arrived at the airport, went to a backpackers, had a hot shower, had dinner (I head Chicken Cordon-Bleau... OK... I had two. It was nice!), 11 hours sleep, then up, hot bath (the bathroom was steaming) and a long, drawn out breakfast! Scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, muffins, Coco-Pops and Juice. Am I really in Africa anymore?
My flight from Livingstone was pretty standard. Apart from when I was sitting in the International Departure Lounge in Livingstone Airport (not much bigger than Mildura\'s departure lounge) and realised that I still had my flick-knife I got in Arusha in my backpack. And it got through their X-Ray machine! It also got through the final X-Ray, onto the plane, and through the X-Rays at Jo\'Burg Intl Airport! Go security!
Now, before anyone thinks I\'m a nutter carrying a flickknife, there wasn\'t really much choice in knives in Arusha and it looked like the best caming knive. I\'d already purchased it before I realised it was a flickknife. A perfect match for the machette I was carrying...
Todays mission - find somewhere cheaper to stay, go to an ATM and withdrawn as much money as possible before my flight hits the Mastercard (he he...), find out what time my flight leaves on Thursday, then go looking for what I believe to be the ultimate souvenieg of South Africa - a T-shirt I saw the other day \"Welcome to South Africa. Duck Motherf***er!\". And, of course, there\'s cinema\'s here (and not just little mud huts with planks for seats and a TV/VCR playing Kung-Fu movies and craaaaaaaaaap film clips). So, the next installment of Star Wars is definatly on the Agenda! f*** cultural experiences!
One other thought - money permitting, I\'m going to get a new change of clothes. My current clothes look pretty daggy. Match that with my hair and I might as well wear a sign sayihng \"I am suspicious. Please search my bags when I get to Customs!\". I\'m not carrying anything, but I just don\'t want to be searched. Shopping is good here in Jo\'Burg aparently, and it\'s still cheap. One shirt and one pair of pants will be more than adequate, if possible.
