Yesterday i was all set to go to Pak Chong early today. Then at about 11pm i decided Chiang Mai was cheaper and am going there by bus tonight... for 500B which is cheaper than the train. This plan gave me more time to look around Ayutthaya and see some more temples and take photos. However i did kind of overestimate how long that might take and since 11am have been pretty bored. Went to post office and got rid of more postcards. Then took photos at temples... had some gross rice chicken thing somewhere which wasnt great. Refused to pay 5B to use a toilet when they didnt charge anyone else... I keep getting bitten by bugs today,,, despite all the insect repellant. So off to Chiang Mai tomorrow for some cheap dorm rooms and markets. I think i'm done looking at temples now. Might do a trek... make up for not going to Khao Yao National park (near Pak Chong). And now the airport is beginning to reopen i might not even have to get a bus or train back down south... and it would save alot of time. Probably stay up north until monday, relax abit, see the Sunday Walking Street..where i'll probably buy more stuff to post home. I feel ive been in afew fairly quiet places recently and so i think it would be nice to meet some new people in Chiang Mai and i also need a new book to read, the selection here is mostly german, and a hardback of Tom Cruise's autobiography 'all the world's a stage'. I wish i still had my room then i could just go to sleep but then i wont sleep tonight.. i seem to have got into a strange-non-sleeping pattern. I'm looking forward to getting to the islands now, the sea, sand and sunshine. And also getting to Oz where things will hopefully be abit easier when prices dont get doubled as soon as anyone sees you..although im probably far too pale to be an ozzie. I suppose its getting abit more xmassy at home now... very un-seasonal here and seeing xmas trees scares me more than anything, because it cant be xmas when it hot and sunny. I keep hearing that its very cold at home and perhaps even some snow. I shall have to get to work on my christmas wishes plan soon... And also need to upload afew more photos of Kanchanaburi and Ayutthaya. Apologies for the long blog, i'm trying to waste some time until I can get the bus.
