Today we decided to do some exploring by road rather than foot. So we set off in the morning on the motorway toward Glasgow before turning off the motorway to tackle the west coast of Scotland to the south of Glasgow to the border. Close to 8 hours by the time we pulled into our camp ground, but well worth it for the scenery.

We picked a random camp ground in the middle of nowhere which has turned out to be an absolute gem. Really just a guy's paddock with a power point and a water tap, but in a really picturesque part if northern England. Right on the river Eden, which we're told is the only river to flow south to north in the UK…
