Today was BLOODY COLD!! We'd only booked one tour today, but our guide recommended a couple of extra things to tack on - a tour in a rickshaw and an acrobat show. We started the day with the rickshaw tour which was good but we think we got ripped off! It was much shorter than the 220 yuan pp suggested and then we had to tip for us and our guide as well!

Next we went to the Temple of Heaven where the stand out was how bloody cold it was! We took a photo of a thermometer which was inside a glass case which was inside a temple (i.e. out of the wind and away from the snow!) and it read 0.3 degrees! Quote of the day goes to Case - "I couldn't give a stiffy who prayed in the temple, it's too bloody cold!".

After the temple we went to a theatre to watch some Chinese acrobats. They were awesome. We lost count of how many girls they fit on one bicycle, but we counted all 8 motorbikes they fit in a big steel ball and whizzed around in!

Early night tonight in prep for a big day of travel tomorrow. Not looking forward to 11 hrs in cattle class, but definitely looking forward to a city full of westerners!
