After 14hrs and a mere five modes of transpot later we arrived at what is without arguement the most paradisical beaches both of us have ever seen, and that is saying something! Tourism is still in it´s infancy in Boipeba. There are no cars or roads, infact the general mode of transport is the wheelbarrow! The donkey is used for heavier loads. Finding somewhere to eat is pretty tricky here so we´ve been settling for tapiocas and beers from a street stall in the little town. Yesterday we walked across the island, enjoying the sounds of tropical birds and the sight of soaring buzzards and found ourselves on a mile long remote picturesque beach, with glorious white sand fringed with coconut trees. And we had it all to our greedy little selves. As for the sea, wowsa, we have never swam in such warm water. Needless to say we are very content here. Even our pousada has a litter of kittens and a parrot to play with, and it rustles up the biggest breakfast yet in Brazil. However all good things must come to an end and today we head on down to yet more beach pleasure, albeit with a little more civilisation.O well!
