Dom Sounds familiar. In Thailand a machine ate my card and HSBC wouldn't send a replacement to the nearest HSBC branch because its not their policy. w***ers!
Tara Thank you both for making my drab night shifts more interesting with your blogs and pics. I like to pretend im not here when i read them but then some piss head just reminded me where i am by kicking the door as i was taking to long apparently...Wish i was with you both. Cant wait to see you xx
ginette grrr banks. There is always some drama when you go away anywhere. I'm still fighting with hsbc even though i'm in new zealand now, they just continued to cancel our cards despite us telling them numerous times, "no they are not stolen, we live in new zealand, hense why all our money has been spent here over the last 3 years"!!! i've been trying to cancel them all for a few months, but of course that is not easy when they have introduced a new security measure that means i can't access internet banking, excellent. Hate banks. Even worse, new zealand banks charge you - we have to pay 5 pounds a month for the privilage of putting our money in their bank - joy! Rant over, enjoy your last few days of fun! speak to you both when you get home. xx
Kerry Great post. Looks like Komodo Island Flores Indonesia. Komodo Island is an exotic location which is always interesting for me. Very wanted me to visit someday. and I want to do it by sea transportation. certainly very impressive and gives a very unique experience. nice info: http://komodoresort.com/page.php?page=63 .... thanks for the post.
re: Komodo Islands.Hafizi Hey. I was wondering how did you get to Komodo Island from KL. I'm thinking of having a fishing trip there.
re: Komodo Islands.Ron & Susan Thank you, C&S, for sharing your adventures with us, via this blog. Almost as good as beeing there ourselves. You'll be amazed to hear that Ron has downloaded ALL of your fab photographs, it all looked amazing. What a memory to take through the rest of your lives (you lucky people). Love S&R.xx

re: The most stressful day ever!Steve What a s***ter! Reminds me of when chip and PIN cards came out, which was when I was in New Zealand. My existing card had 6 months left on it, but because HSBC wanted all cards to be chip and PIN at the same time, they sent a new one to my mum n dad's house and cancelled my existing card! They said there was nothing they could do to reactivate the one they'd killed, despite my concerns that short of travelling to the moon, I literally couldn't any further away from my new card. World's local bank, my arse. Lucky I had my credit card or I'd probably still be there now...
re: The most stressful day ever!Chris Marquand Alright guys, sounds like you had the same experiences we did in bali/gili. Transport, transport!! transport! ha ha. Miss the gili isles the snorkling was so nice. So was just wondering if you guys fancied a quick trip over here then since your in Bali its a short plane ride. Its high 20's and sunny all week and we found an ace cider house up in the Hills. xx
