Grateful to leave Montevideo after a too long a stay, the second half of my stay in Uruguay took me to the charming little town of Colonia. Although another four day stay here was perhaps a little too ambitious, I managed it but only thanks to the television in my room with cable. I have found Uruguay to be one of the most expensive countries of the South American continent so eating and drinking in cafes hasn´t, unfortunately, been an option. This therefore left me with only one option and that was to consume cheap crisps and biscuits whilst watching E! and People&Arts. I enjoyed and it and when I did venture outdoors, it made wandering the few streets of the town that little more special.
