We are sooooo obsessed with this journal thing, its so great hearing from people too! Thanx for all your messages guys!! Its our last Day in Phuket today coz tomorrow we decided to go to Suratthani, where Pha Nang beach is where James Bond was set and The Beach, so that will be well cool to see. We spent the morning on the beach just relaxing and sunbathing...forcing a tan..but I (lauren) was seduced by the jet ski and paid only 1000 baht which is a bit under $15 for 30 minutes, and OMG IT WAS SOOO COOL. first time and it was a bit diff to control..i thort it wud be abit like the moped but its not at all. It was soo cool jumping waves and skidding in the water..i went right out into the depths of the ocean and saw a few more beaches outside Patong, omg it was soooo cool. I'M DEF doing that again...also theres this thing where it takes 5 days from beginner to become an internationally qualified and certified scuba diver..which would be sooo cool and how good on a CV!! welll tempted but gota find 5 spare days now..which isnt gonna happen!! we're taking it easy this afternoon coz tonite we are going to see Fantasea which is apparently the best show in Thailand and it has a restaurant with the largest buffet in the world...well looking forward to it!! anyway im sure carly will update this page later so we can fill you in on tonite..and i think, just about over the toilet trauma and i am still scared everytime i flush it that it will overflow again, so we are both taking heed about these signs and annoyingly changing our toilet habits...lol. maybe too much info!? but anyway laterz xxxxxxxxxxxx
So im back, 3 days late but got to tell you about Fantasea!! I think carly has uploaded some photos so take a look! it was like a theme park and a funfair and had LOADS of stalls and games and dancing, its like the best attraction in Thailand and cost over 3500 million Thai baht..(divide it by 68 to get pounds) soo yeah, it was really rich and beautifully done but the main attractions, the restaurant and the elephant theatre were BREATHTAKING..i have never seen such a beautiful restaurant, the entrance was painted gold and looked like a royal temple, it was surrounded by water with lotus flowers and lights floating on the surface but it was literally amazing when we walked into the grandest buffet restaurant in the world. It seated 4000 people and the pictures just dont do it justice. Theres a pick of the main dining atrium but there are wings of hundreds more seats surrounding it, there were 16 buffets and 8 specialty buffets and I wish soo much my dad could have seen it, you would have loved it papa!!! It was a really nice meal and we sat next to some australians!! But it wasnt over yet..opposite the restaurant stood a MAHOOOSIVE temple looking theatre..(see pictures) where the show was. The show was really amazing, so cultural and traditional. There were magic tricks and air acrobats, fire and illusion it was really unbelievable, it almost told the story of the beginning of Siam (Thailand) and the rise of the King, there were 15 elephants on the stage at one point and they were amazin, we laughed though when one did a pooey on the stage..lol!! But it was amazing!!!soo glad we did it, we returned at like midnight and then had to get up at 6 to get to where we are now!! Phuket was amazing, its a shame we couldnt stay longer, but we loved it!!
