Me and Sar arrived in Cambodia at Siem Reap. As soon as I landed and got talking to the people, I found them to be so much more friendly and helpful than in other places I have visited. I got a really good feel about this place. So we got in a Cambodian style TukTuk, which are different to the Thai ones you see all over Bangkok, the Cambodian ones are like a trailer fit for 2-4 people which is just attached to any motorbike - to the main area where there was some cheap guesthouses. That night we visited the night market and the adeptly named "Bar Street"...was slightly different to the Bar Street in Faliraki!!!! I tasted my first Cambodia style dish which was "Khmer Red Chicken Curry"and it was possibly the best dish I have had yet...Sarah had Amok which is Cambodias national dish. Then the next day we visited the Temples of Angkor, which were all built during the 9th-13th centuries. We got the one-day pass and visited the Temples of Bayon, Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm and the biggest temple in the world of Angkor Wat. The Temples were seriously out of this world, in parts it was amazing how during that period anyone could build such a masterpiece. I think both myself and Sar would agree that Bayon was the most interesting Temple and Angkor Wat was the most specticular. We are now about to get on a bus journey to Sinhanoukville, which takes approx 11-12 hours by Bus....great!
