Managed to get a nice car to the airport instead of the rattling bus. Somehow in booking extra luggage i lost our exit row seats. Lucky we didn't have a third-party in the seat beside me as i sat on aisle and Brad sat sideways in his seat. His legs don't fit. Ensconced in Rydges at sydney airport, very posh.
Had 4.00am wakeup call. Lucky as we managed to get exit row from Sydney to Aukland. 2 hr layover but alas no exit row next leg. Poor Brad had someone banging on his seat for 5 hrs. Lost a day somewhere over the pacific.
Arrived in Tahiti in the dark. 65 min to get through immigration. A bus ride to the resort. 60 people on the bus. We were last off hence 60 min wait to check in.
Huge suite, separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, toilet, living room, plus a private patio.
Fell into bed after midnight. Couldn't sleep as its too hot. Aircon not really working so fan on full blast.
Brad snoring like a wart hog
Finally at sometime after 4 i fall asleep. 8.00am bloody housekeeping bang on door.
I stagger to the door only to frighten them. I must have looked a sight.
Brad's earplugs work so well he hears nothing.
Off exploring today.
