OK updating and backtracking!

Arusha was great - infact we were staying in USA river which is about 20km from town - nice guesthouse (Mexico Inn) in the village, spent most of the time hanging out in the loca bar with shedy's friends all visiting. We had a great afternoon at the Mt Meru game park, chilling out watching the Zebras and having a lazy lunch and hectic days going to town. The highlight for me was meeting shedy's family - they were all so welcoming and although communication was limited (they speak no english and my swahili is minimal) im pretty sure they said welcome about 100 times and i said thank you about 150 so its all good!! We had lotsof photos taken and they said alot of prayers for us ... im thinking marrying him isnt such a bad idea after all - i could do with a holiday home in tanzania!!! .... After a quick look at Mt Kilimanjar we jumped on a plane to Zanzibar. Bit shocked to arrive and find out that zan had had no water or electric for 2 weeks and that the pipeline to tanzania whih provides the electric has blown up and wouldnt be fixed for weeks ..... not impressed and we grumped arond stone town sweating and maning .... that said we made the most of it and ended up having a great time - the nightmarket food is amazing and the shopping too ... and i quite liked living by candelight at night and sending shedy off to fetch buckets of water for me to shower ha ha ha :) ..... 2 days was enough though so we headed to the beach - Kendwa is beautiful - turquise water and white sand ... so we did well pretty much nothing for a week - chilling, having massages, watching the masai talk fluent italien to all the tourists (its mostly an italian beach) - very weird..... and lots of eating and drinking. Xmas was lovely :) We headed back to stone town a few days after and caught he ferry to Dar - bumped into a friebd form cape town which was nice - then headed to the beach in dar again for a few days. again we caught up with lots of Shedy's friends - my swalhili getting abit better but im def going to take lessons!!! - after dar it was a short flight to lusaka zambia to spend new year - not so great i got ill on the way and spent the 2 days in bed - but now im back in cape town on the mend, the sun is shining and i feel a bit back to normality. giving myself 2 days to adjust then i need to get my arse in gear to find somewhere to saty for a few weeks and go and suprise my township projects and tell them im back - cant wait!!!!
