Wow, no idea where to start - i think I last left you in Kande beach Malawi? well we corssed the border and set off for Lusaka after that - pretty modern capital and even had a nandos much to our joy. Thern over to victoria falls where all the real fun began. Vic falls is a hub for the overland trucks so there are 3 of us meeting here and all going off in different directions so its been a party 3 days. I also and i have no idea why or where the bravery came from...

Chilling out on Kande Beach mid way down lake Malawi - so hard to believe its a lake as you can't see anything in either direction and the waves lap on the beach just like a sea (call me stupid but I was suprised by this!!) I helped to slaughter a pig last night - gross yes but good experience and helped with skinning during the ritual - we are roasting the poor chap this evening when we have a fancy dress party will tuck in!! ... for some reason the fancy dress...

Well after 2 glorious days on the beach in the North of Zanzibar (massaged, henna'd and with a lot of new local drinking buddies) we headed back to Dar on the lunchtime (aka vomit) catamaran :) I survived (just) and we made it back to our beach to camp in Dar before the 4.30 (yes seriously) start on our 3 day trip across Tanzania to Malawi. Driving days were for the most part ok - ive managed to find a gap between two seats on the truck i can just about squeeze ...

Soo much to update - i think its about 5 days since i've been online :) After a brief stop back inNairobi we headed to the serengeti - def the Africa of dreams watching the sunset over the acacia trees with a family of elephants chomping their way past us. We had two nights in the park - really basic with our own tents, the first night was terryfying - after talking to a guy who was stuck there waitinmg for a relacement truck who infmed me he had spent the night ...

Had an amazing 2 days game driving in the Masai Mara - Saw Lions (including one devouring a zebra - amazing if not stomach churning!!) Lots of family's of elephants, Zebra, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Giraffes, Ostriches, Leopards, Cheetas .... warthogs, jackals ..... pretty much everything except a Rhino on this trip. We stayed in army style tents with Masai wariors guarding the camp at night ... one of whopm was pretty drunk which was abit concerning as you really are...
