Day 14 - Friday 11 September 2015
We had stayed up really late the night before with all of the excitement so we were pretty wrecked. I still managed to wake up at 7.30am (with a sore head) and stayed awake for a little while checking emails. I managed to get back to sleep and we both slept until around midday.
We woke up happy and giggling with excitement and stayed in bed cuddling & chatting for a little while longer. Eventually we decided we needed food so got up, dressed and went out to find something suitable.
We walked past a nice looking cafe/restaurant and stopped in to get some delicious burgers. The burgers here are served quite rare compared to Australian standards which takes some getting used to.
After we ate we went to the little supermarket near our building to buy a few things. We wanted to have a bubble bath so were trying to explain to the Spanish guy in there what bubble bath was. He didn't really understand but we managed to find some kind of body wash in the end.
I ran the bath and lit some candles but we ran out of hot water and then the bath wasn't warm enough so Jazz didn't like it.
We watched some TV and relaxed for the rest of the afternoon in our apartment.
We had dinner booked at a restaurant in El Born called Llamber. It had been recommended to me by my manager at work.
We looked it up before we left and decided to walk there as it wasn't far.
On our way to dinner there were heaps of people in the street wearing the same tops that had something to do with Catalan. There were also lots of people with flags and others with big puppet type things. It was a Catalonian public holiday.
Dinner at Llamber was really lovely but I feel like we ordered all wrong. We filled up on bread & cheese rather than getting more of their delicious share plates. Everything was delicious though and we were very full by the time we left.
Jazz was having an alcohol free day but I had a couple of cocktails with dinner.
We walked home arm in arm after dinner and had an early night.
