Well - from the polite and serene capital of Japan to absolute madness!! The food is far better however - Peter can actually eat now. If the Japanese were to open a fast food chain to rival McDonalds instead of the standard "would you like fries with that?" they would have "would you like a raw egg with that?"........nice - not!! Anyway we are in a four star hotel in Kowloon with a bloody swimming pool on the roof - not sure how us lowly backpackers managed ...

Spent the last couple of days with hard core sight seeing, went to the imperial city gardens which were closed but besides that everything went OK. Got lost a couple of times but there just so friendly here if you stand around with a map in hand looking confused you can guarantee some one will ask if you need help, it is like being helpful is the national hobby! After 3 days and one two many hangovers the sight seeing begins. The Meiji Shrine is an oasis in the middle of Tokyo, totally chilled and immaculate, really lets you know where you are in the scheme of things, just look at the entry gate! Just imagine the guard dog behind this little beauty. Actually it is really the crows you have to look out for, they have no fear of people and hop about like they own the place! One shot out from behind a tree squaking ...

Well here we are in sunny tokyo, my god it is hot! Anyway the plane took about 15 years to get here and my bum had gone completely dead but things picked up once we got here. We are in the best hostel in the world, cool people, rooms are good, free internet and everything, stereo and tv in the rooms, I may just stay in my room for the week, NOT! Tokyo international hostel, spot on! We have no plan and intend to follow it to the letter! Thats jus...

Still here in little old england but now we are just about ready to get the hell out of here, last minuit packing and shopping is being done. Soon it will be too late and anything we forget will have to stay forgotten. Looks like were going to leave just when the weather over here is getting good, anyway, next stop Japan.
