Oh yes well....mmmmm. Tennants Creek - we were there for only 24hrs and even we ran out of things to do! How the locals busy themselves needs considerable imagination. We had to check out of our hostel in the afternoon and our bus wasn't due until 3.40am (only one in and one out!!) so we spent 7hrs talking to a rather shell shocked service attendant at the only 24hr thing there - the bus service station!! So, when your bus driver enquires whether you are sure you want to stop somewhere take that as a sign to avoid that somewhere. When he then states "well... if you are absolutley sure" you know you are in for some serious fun - well it was funny maybe not so much fun. The pictures we have (to be loaded soon) tell the story. Generally the people were nice and it must have been destiny because the memorial club we frequented for a drink was serving banana daquari's (for those of you who get that). However Pete missed out on his opportunity because of a drunk individual (Ray) declaring to him how good he was at fighting!! Anyhoo - the termite mounds were amazing, the burgers at the aboriginie info centre were bloody amazing and the guy at the youth hostel was a sweetie so all not lost. We also saw our very first kangaroo - for about 2 seconds in the headlights of our very fast moving bus - poor b*****:o(
