What a picturesque, adorable island Magnetic Island is. Full of private beaches and fascinating flora and fauna....During the day that is!!!! At night it's a wildlife debauched killing ground where things go bump in the night with an all too regular frequency!! We went for what we thought was a nice walk through the Islands forests, it was lovely, warm, safe. We didn't pay to much attention to the time, let me tell you walking through this stuff at night is a whole different ball game, next time we bring a torch, map and Aboriginie tracker! What fun, fun, fun we had wondering just how we would be represented on panorama the next day as we fell down cliffs breaking our shoes, were swooped at by bats (the only animal in Australia with Rabies - nice touch) and watched by a thousand eyes - who they belonged to we have no idea. Anyway needless to say we escaped uncharred and uninfected to tell our little tale....well we wanted an adventure....yesterday we bloody well got one!!!
