Soo Noosa - wow its gorgeous and me and Siobhan were so glad we added it on to our itinery - all of which we decided at Byron Bay ... things we wanted to see were Surfers paradise - though because of the time of year we heard there were lots of "schoolies" (16 yr old shc leavers) there partying... we werent up for partying with the kids...and we stopped over at Brisbane briefly for a greyhound bus change (just another city - dont think we missed out on staying there :P )...
Noosa days were again spent on the beach - was so nice...breezey but still boiling and we were taught how to body board too... that was great fun! We were very lucky with our dorms.. the people we were sharing with (this was only a 7 bed dorm as opposed to the 8 bed one in Nomads in Byron Bay) were si friendly! We ended up going to the beach with 'em and also having a night out with them in the Koala Bar (on site in the hostel) watching live bands (whoop whoop - at last a gig - so happy) with the cheapo beer jugs (quite like the taste of them!) and hanging with them.
This hostel - although not as clean or commercial as the last one...it has alot more character... alot more Ozzies around and it gernerally had a better vibe to it - everyone here is a lot more friendly... they have a pool here and everything you need is self contained in the hostel - felt more of a uni living situation with the union nights out bein gin the koala bar - anyway had so much fun here and although we both felt a bit sad to leave we have such a tight iternery that we have to keep on top of everything!!
Ahh money so far is being spent on new flip flops...beach towel... sun tan lotion beer and food... and its still going so fast! I am loving the holiday vibe here but I dont think I could live in Oz for a year!!
Our next stop is Hervey Bar (5 hours on the greyhound) to prepare for our Frazer Island adventure... so excited everyone says its amazing!!!
