After a long 13 hours on the Greyhound (it was very uncomfortable and a LONG night) after the 2 hour pitstop at Hervey Bar (that was after our Fraser island tour) we arrived in Airlie Beach at about 10am- giving us 2 hours to dump our bags in storage...sign in ...go to the bottle shop (their off license's) to stock up in the beer Calton Draught - yummy... get water and make it to our boat for 12 as it would be sailing at 1 with us and another 15 to sail for the n...

FRASER ISLAND ADVENTURES...whoop whop was nice driving a beastly 4X4 diesel campervan... After all the recommendations of this trip and the gossip - it lived up to exspectations but in different ways than expected. Soo Noosa - wow its gorgeous and me and Siobhan were so glad we added it on to our itinery - all of which we decided at Byron Bay ... things we wanted to see were Surfers paradise - though because of the time of year we heard there were lots of "schoolies" (16 yr old shc leavers) there partying... we werent up for partying with the kids...and we stopped over at Brisbane briefly for a greyhound bus change (just another city - dont think we missed out on ...

...From Noosa the adventure continued, we jumped on a greyhound (bus coach thing which I'm sure you are all familiar with right now) for a nice brief 5 hour coach ride (nice and easy compared to the 12/13 hours ones... but after the Asian adventures these trips are a breeze)! so arriving in Hervey Bay we spent 2 nights in free accommodation - they came free with the "Fraser Island" trip we booked :) lucky us - saving money with free nigts and discounts...
