Hello everyone! Since I last wrote, we finished up our 2 days in Berlin before heading west to the region of Selfkant, where Ben's relatives, Tim & Julie, live. Berlin is a nice city (now that it's united). We were able to see the Berlin Wall, eat some bratwurst (which Ben has been talking about since Italy), and visit some sites while walking around the city. We stayed in a hostel for both nights.

My favorite part of Berlin was a pastry shop not far from the hostel...the name I couldn't pronounce, but it was inexpensive and delicious! I had 5 different things in the few days we were there. Streudel, danish, something like cheesecake, a donut, and an apple swirly sugary bun type thing. They all have German names, but all I can say in German is "Hello", "Can you speak English?", and "Thank you", so I employ the pointing strategy.

Unfortunately, I am a little sick so I've been loading up on vitamins and trying to take it easy today. Germany is lovely and the food is great, but we couldn't live here because our cholesterol would skyrocket.

Fun tidbit of the day: Ben recently gave me a new nickname due to my supposed slow pace..."Rocket".
