Today we arrived in Ios at 10:30am. We got a free shuttle bus up to our hotel and hung around at the bar till our room was ready. Once we got to our room we sorted our washing and took it down to the laundry mat. We did 4 loads of washing, we were starting to get pretty desperate for clothes before this wash. Still a day in transition to Athens. It was a 17 hour ferry ride to Patras. The ferry left at 12pm Sunday and we arrived in Patras at 6am Monday morning. We then had an hour long walk to the bus depot, followed by a two and a half hour coach ride to Athens then a 20 minute local bus to the main square and then a 15 minute walk to our hotel. Transition day! We woke up early and left Sorrento at 6am to make our way to Naples to book our train to Bari. We arrived at Naples at 8:00am and had to book the 9:04am train to Bari but the train was already full so we booked seats on the next train at 6pm. Today we woke up early and went to the port to catch the ferry over to the 'Isle of Capri' When we got there we booked a boat tour around the whole island and to the famous blue grotto. Unfortunately the blue grotto was closed due to the weather and the sea swell so we just went passed it. Today we spent the day at the beach... Well the pier beach. We paid €15 for a sunbed on the pier and we got waited on for food and drinks. It was nice to lay in the sun and relax as we haven't done so since Ibiza. They also had floating sunbeds on the water. The weather was hot and my skin is back to brown after spending 6 nights in Glasgow. After the beach we came home and had a shower before heading out to dinner.
