Finally arrived in Dublin after what felt like the longest plane ride ever. Took nearly 21 hours real time to get here. More experienced travelers must agree that jumping 7 hours in time zones is better to do during the daytime than at night. It's interesting flying into such a busy airport as Heathrow as I took a few pictures of planes in the air that seemed to be much closer than aviation rules would allow. (Hello again to the person in Seat 4F on the British Airways plane). Managed to watch Surf's UP and Oceans 13 on the plane. All in all, Air Canada has done well so far with a relatively roomy plane to travel in, no delays and no lost luggage.
The hotel we are staying at, "The Burlington", is apparently the largest in Dublin and is very nice. The rooms are cozy and modern and seem to feature nothing but rugby and soccer on tv. We had a bowl of soup last night and 1 Carlsberg beer. Prices aren't too bad as everything here in on the Euro. The pint was 5 Eur and soup was 5 each as well.
Off to the 3 KM Fun Run this morning and hopefully the Guinness factory this aft. If not might just wander around some more. Hopefully will post some pictures later.
I seem to be adjusting after a good night sleep though I had to deal with Leanne telling me she has jet lag for most of the night.
