With Christmas and another successful Housesit behind us, we have said goodbye to family and the Tweed area to find ourselves at the beautiful spot called Darlington Park. We are now on the road again after 8 weeks at Coolah and Gunnedah. We have had the best time, playing with the grandchildren and have had lots of cuddles, especially with baby Ruby. Ruby Irene is now 9 weeks old and is growing so fast, changing every day. She was born nearly 3 weeks early by caesarean on the 22/9, weighing in at 2.7 kgs. We stayed with our friends, Bob and Ellen for a few weeks travelling up the coast to Seaforth near Mackay remembering how we had met each other there 4 years earlier, and the friendship we've shared since. The park is still the same with a different Bob still running the place in his relaxed, laid back manner that he has. While we were at Varsity, we went on a Whale Watching cruise out of Southport. This is our second whale watching trip and I'm again left a little bit (unreasonably) disappointed.The boat and staff were great, the weather was good and we did see some whales but as we all know they live under the ocean and we didn't get to see too much of them above it performing their antics as we would have liked. We are now doing our house sit at Varsity Lakes, for the people who heard of us through our last sit at Robina. After 7 weeks at Robina and 4 days back in the van we are now here for 5 weeks while the owners are in the States.This is their first holiday in 3 years as they haven't been able to leave the dogs before.
