We are now well and truly into our Murray trip and the days are just racing by. We have had a mixture of weather from really cold days and frosty mornings to warmer days with some reaching 29+ degrees. The strong winds making it feel much cooler sometimes. The last entry on this blog saw us leaving the Murray in Victoria and here we are back again, well not quite! Although we have now started our Murray adventure with our friends Bob and Ellen we are actually presently settled along side the Mitta Mitta river at Tallangatta, a small town in Victoria's high country that was moved 8 kms west in the 1950's to make way for the expansion of Lake Hume. After a couple of very pleasant days beside the Murray, it was time to head back into NSW. We made our way first to a free camp at Grong Grong and then onto Junee golf club where we expected to stay a couple of nights with Chris getting in some games of golf. We spent a great 5 weeks at Sedgewick, enjoying a beautiful home and the surrounding area of Bendigo. With fresh eggs every morning and fresh vegetables from the garden, we felt very spoilt! We even tried our hand at making tomato chutney, tomato ketchup and mustard pickle which all turned out quite well. We shared our bounty with our home owners on their return. We are now in Sedgwick, a small suburb of Victoria, about 25 kms out of Bendigo. We've just started a Housesit for 5 weeks while the owners of the house have gone to New Zealand, touring around in a camper van.
