We are blown away by the level of poverty. CCF is located on the outsirts of Phnom Penh in an area that was/is a smoldering dump. CCF is an oasis in a desolate land. We both work with two groups of students each day, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. Students go to school for 1/2 day and its an extreme provilege to get to go. Our first weeks adventure has been remarkable. We have seen quite a bit of Phnom Penh. Actually most of the primary tourist sites. The cars,tuk-tuks, motorcycles,motorbikes,scooters,bikes, and people on foot are literally driving in every direction and on the wrong side of the street at the same time. Travel and more travel. Someone got sick on our flight out of DC and we had to make an emergency landing in Vancouver. We sat on the ground for 7 hours, changed crews, extended our travel time to Seoul from 14 1/2 hours to 19 hours plus layover time. Needless to say, we missed our flight to Phnom Penh.
