Elaine A kangaroo with pouch and baby - from your buddies - that so fits you two, hopping all over the globe and with the care of children throughout your lives being so important, be they your own or not! So glad you have taken on this experience and been so enriched by it. Thanks for all the blog entries and sharing not only the facts but the feelings...
re: Al: Perhaps my most significant experience everLisa Banks This reminds me of the floating villages in Lake Titicaca in Peru. Amazing.
re: The Floating Villages-AmazingLisa Banks Hi Al and Joyce - I am so moved by your journey and your account of Cambodia and its people. Thank you for sharing so much detail with all of us. I can't wait for your return!
re: Miscellaneous thoughtsMarlissa I laughed out loud thinking about you arguing with the young man over who would carry the rice! Seriously, I can't imagine what it's like to see people living in that type of poverty day after day. It's painful to read (much less see in person I'm sure). Take good care of yourselves - we miss you!
re: Granny ProgramElaine Thanks for these insights. I've been reading Brinkley's CAMBODIA'S CURSE, thanks to your recommendation, and believe me, several curses spring to mind but are halted at tongue! What a waste of potential. I'm half way through + Epilogue - may just quit in frustration. I'd love to meet Ambassador Quinn.
re: Please, may I have some more?Sally Michel Joyce and Al--We are following accounts of your adventure with great interest! Sally and Susan
re: UDongCarol Whew....crawling through the tunnels.....were the dinner rats there too??? What an experience!
re: Good morning, Vietnam!Denise & Curtis Thanks for sharing your experiences and stories. Read them all today and got caught up. What an adventure! Sending love and prayers!
re: Good morning, Vietnam!Liz "Also went 12 hours without a bathroom." Tom's Shoes should send 1000 more pairs of shoes and one Port-a-John.
re: Shoes Shoes ShoesMolly I can't wait to talk about all of this in person. The tunnels sound amazing. How sad to be reinforced so strongly that we were wrong. Even Jane Fonda apologized for "hurting the US soldiers" by her actions in Hanoi. You are taking advantage of every second there. What experiences!
