What an amazing day! We got up this morning and hit the road on our bikes, stopping at our first winery around 10:30 and having a morning tasting of beautiful Shiraz and Tawneys at Langmeil, then off to Peter Lehmanns in a beautiful spot perfect for an event or wedding, just stunning! I was pleasently surprised at how well the Barossa is suited for biking with paths everywhere and very corteous drivers. It was so refreshing seeing all the beautiful vines from a different view.

We got to Maggie Beers just in time to get a coffee and take a break. Her shop was amazing with so many beautiful things to sample and of course purchase. After a little walk around her beautiful property we sat in on a cooking class where Maggie Stopped in to say hello! She is such an amazing woman being a self taught cook starting off with just a small pheasant farm to selling her products internationaly! Very inspiring! After buying a few goodies from Maggies we head to Penfolds and a few others until we stumbled upon a spot specializing in ports (cams favorite) so we had to have a taste and head on our way before it got to dark. Off to head home for steak salad and a new beautiful wine! What a great way to spend the day!
