The York Peninsula was really all about relaxing, there was not much around other than heaps of wildlife. We free camped(no electricity/shower) our way around and have learnt a few valuable lessons from this.
Lesson 1- Natural deodorant does not cut it went your not regularly showering.
Lesson 2- Washing your underwear in the kitchen sink is fine from time to time.
Lesson 3-Ugg boots will melt when kept too close to the fire. (What? my feet were cold)
Lesson 4-Baby wipes and dry shampoo are a god sent! No really!
Lesson 5-Never take for granted a hot shower again!
Lesson 6- When attempting to cook popcorn over the open fire do not try to cook the left over kernels as they do not pop and may burn the crap out of your pot so that it it not usable ever again. (Sorry Denz)
Lesson 7- Ants will climb up your pants as far as they can get and hang on for dear life!
And last but possibly one of the most important lessons of the trip Lesson 8- When intalling make sure the bike rack is securely welded to the caravan before driving away. Just in case it gives away and you drag the bikes along behind you. Resulting in losing a bike wheel(again sorry Denz)
They say you learn something every day and this was certainly the truth for this trip!
