hello again!!

ok...so i left you in suspense that i was in a hostel pretty much alone! well as it turned out that evening i bumped into two german girls who were previously staying at the hostel i was in at mexico city so went for a drink with them and another english girl who was staying for one night, who i didn`t like, but she was bearable for a night!! its quite ironic that out of every traveller i meet so far the only ones i have taken a dislike to are english!!! Anyway in this bar we were approached by every male in there i think, all trying their luck, even the older men!! quite funny really and its just friendly but so different to english etiquette! even more fun for me as i can`t speak much spanish, its all about exaggeration through movement!! Although my spanish is the best its ever been, not that it takes much! Am considering spanish lessons when i get home...thats one to remind me of!

13th Nov- headed to isla mujeres, a little island a ferry ride away from cancun...was a nice day, ferry ride was bumpy and fun, lazed on the beach, had a little shop around and had some grub before catching the ferry back! Was dark on the way back and as the wind had got up the boat was rocking side to side, it was like being on a pirate ship in a haunted house at a theme park-lots of fun!!! -except i was in the carribean...ah pirates of the carribean, unfortunately i didn`t meet jack sparrow! That evening, just went for a quiet drink with group of people from hostel...although i was on water as stomach still not right!! Infact that night didn`t sleep well was to and from the toilet!! details i think you all need to know!!

Didn`t matter though as had a lazy day yesterday and just caught the bus to the beach to chill out and had a little snooze while catching some rays!! In the evening went for a meal with an aussie girl Lisa, and we just sat and chatted all night! she also gave me inspiration for what to do with my next few days in cancun....and this morning i got on it and booked myself to do an open water diving course! think its 3-4 days long which works perfectly as you have to leave 24hours between diving and flying and thats what i`ll have at least!!

am in tulum presently....am visiting here as its known for absolutely beautiful beaches with ancient mayan ruins in the sea and on beach, so thought couldn`t miss it out!! got bus today, arrived at hotel and now blogging you!!!

the plan was to stay 2 nights in tulum and was planning on getting an early morning bus but won`t be back in time so am going to leave late tomorro evening and stay back at the hostel just been to in cancun...which not looking forward to as.....this morning was up at 6.30am as Lisa found bed bugs in her bed, the hostel was not the nicest and so i boiled all my clothes that had been in contact with my bed, but it did mean i was up nice and early and as a result had time to go and book my diving course and get back in time for my 11.30 bus! so all good!!well best go and explore tulum a little before starting to revise 3 chapters on diving! oh i forgot to mention i have to learn 3 chapters for my test on friday morning to start the course!!! am so excited and its nice to have to learn something for a purpose again!!!oh but am staying in a better hostel for my other days in cancun..surprisingly!

p.s. i have gone up in the world of flip flops after purchasing haviiana`s! oh my, they are so comfy i think they should be called heaven-a`s!!! they`re cute gold ones too!
