ola!!! ok so before you get confused, the profile photo is a place i could visit from where i´m staying but its not cancun!!!

early morning flight meant i was leaving the hostel at 5am and i didn´t get to sleep til 2 so feeling pretty tired, along with a dodgy stomach its probably just as well i´m travelling alone today!!! Was proud of myself getting on the right flight as all instructions were in spanish and i had no one else to rely on except myself! plane wasn´t even half full so had three seats to myself to sleep the flight away!

arrived in cancun, got myself on a bus and then was advised to get a taxi to my hostel from there...well....not such good advice, taxi driver spent an hour looking for hostel but i´d already told him a set price so the cost didn´t matter. the irony was once we found the hostel of which i´d given him an address and little map, the hostel was literally 30 steps from the bus station i got myself to!!! not going to need a taxi next time want to get the airport shuttle!!

arrived at 11 after taxi ride, but wasn´t allowed to check in til 3, not sure why now i have checked in and find there are only 5 people including me staying at the hostel, its not as if there wasn´t room!!! so cancun has got to be a good place as not relying on people to make it tis time!!! not too worried, only met one of the guests and he´s an old man who was sleeping! the other 3 might be fab like me!! no but this is how i see it, i´m in a hostel but it may as well be my own house, i have beautiful beaches in which i can go and laze the day away at and i can do trips where i´ll meet people! i´ll always find someone to listen to me chat away!

quite a few things i want to do but am going to see how to do them cheaply as there are so many people offering tours and special deals i dobn´t want to be the stupid english girl who gets conned!!! today i just got the bus which goes from downtown where i´m staying, (the poorer area and thus cheaper!) to the hotel zone where it all becomes americianized with lots of grand hotels, a few shopping malls, the beaches and places to do tours from!

nightlife- well that´ll depend on people in my hostel....i may even try and find another hostel if when my three days are up its no different! however a couple i met in mexico city are heading to cancun for my last night here and one of J´s friends is holidaying here come 15th so thats at least 2 nights out...worse case scenario!

last night i just hung out with oscar, shane and orly again and had so much fun just chatting! we went to starbucks and relaxed in the comfy chairs!! am so lucky that in just over a month i have met some fab people...... ha ha maybe cancun hostels are my karma!!!
