Today we had a tour starting at the Louvre, taking a boat on the Seine to scale and then have lunch at the Eiffel Tower, back on the Seine to travel to Notre Dame for a tour.

At the Louvre, we saw Victory, Venus and Lisa - well Mona Lisa... There was talk of the Davinci code as we stood under the glass pyramid. A fabulous painting of Napoleon crowning Josephine and his mother included in the painting, though in fact she did not come to the ceremony.

At the Eiffel Tower, we had to cross the end of a 20k road race which was quite exciting for some on the tour. We went up the elevator to have lunch on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower and then took the stairs down which was exciting to me and entertaining to Shauna. At Notre Dame, we learned about its construction, the gargoyles, the headless statue and the story of Jesus which ended with the song always look on the bright side of life.

We had ice cream and then dinner - a recommended order to clean the palate and then back to sleep.
