Oh Koyasan was beautiful and cold, freezing cold. We applied what we learned from camping and put our clothes to wear in the bedding to warm them up.
Last night when we went to dinner, we came back to the room and the table with a heating element had been moved and two futon beds had been set up. We put our pjs under the bed to warm and then nodded off.
The bathroom was down the hall and during the night one of our friends had a slipper faux pas with the bathroom slippers coming back to the room. Remember, it was dark and cold!!
We woke up to frost on the roof and hit the toilets for the heated seats. We had breakfast, no toast or coffee but instead tofu, some seaweed and tea. Before we left, we got our wifi fix and got a great puppy report thanks to the Falen family visit. We were also just able to get a brief FaceTime call into Mom for Easter. Technology!
We packed up and headed back to Kyoto. We sent a few pictures of the cable car and have a video we will try to load. From the train, we can really see the blossoms that have come out... It is a very nice way to travel.
After bus, cable car, train, train, train, train, subway, we got to our hotel and took a walk. We have shared some of those photos, the blossoms are definitely out.
Tomorrow to Yokohama and our baseball game!
