We left Nashville, TN this morning and headed out to Memphis. Destination: GRACELAND! Which was absolutely awesome! Touring the mansion gives you an eerie feeling. This was by far the most eccentric house I have ever been in. We made our way through several different buildings on the property, including the Racquetball House where Elvis passed away. We then went to his meditation garden where Elvis and several of his family members lay at rest. After Graceland, we went to downtown Memphis to see the famous Sun Studio where Elvis and Johnny Cash both cut there first albums. The studio still looks just as is it did back then. It's crazy to think Brittany and I were standing right where some of the best music ever was created. All of the excitement got us pretty famished, so we walked down the street to Huey's Pub, aka one of the coolest places I've ever been to eat. When we walked in there was man playing his guitar and singing country tunes. It felt appropriate considering we were in Memphis! Lol Then we realized that the entire place was covered in graffiti and there were tons of toothpicks stuck all over the ceiling. The waitress told us that we could write on ANYTHING in the restaurant. And that they give you a straw and a cup of toothpicks and you shoot them with your mouth at the ceiling. Then every year they take down all the toothpicks and people guess how many there were and you win prizes. Britt and I signed the seats at the booth where we were sitting. And we definitely shot a ton of toothpicks at the ceiling. Goodtimes. After Huey's we journeyed across the Mississippi River to Arkansas. I must say Arkansas is beautiful, however the living conditions seem, well….GHETTO! There are just a bunch of little run down shack-like trailer things in the middle of this amazing landscape. But as Brittany said, "These people are probably some of the happiest people you could ever meet." We have touched down for the evening in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the Holiday Inn. We were terrified as we drove through Fort Smith, it looks like a really ghetto ghost town. Words can't describe this place…it's like something out of a movie. But the hotel we are at is surprisingly really nice. Tomorrow is the Rt. 66 Museum and bedtime in Amarillo, TX…
