Hi all!

How's it going! I'm skipping ahead a lot here. We are now in Australia, have been for a week! Just haven't enough time to get this updated. But I did put more photos up. This time I tried to spare ye all too much scenery! I have loads more so yer all invited to a slideshow when I get back!!

We got to Melbourne last Friday. We got to an airport in the middle of no where, who knew there were more than one?!! We were faffing about getting our bags then we queued up for a rental car. All the rental cars were gone!! Hello, it's an airport, they are supposed to have a plentiful supply! Everybody had booked cars, again, who knew?!!

The last bus was gone, there wasn't a taxi in sight. However, one of the car rental places said she did have one car left, it was more expensive. Maybe we looked a bit poor and she didn't tell us first off! It was a 4wd! So we decided to take it for one night to get us into the city. It was a monster. Well, compared to my Yaris!! We got lost getting to our hostel, which ended up being the worst hostel so far. Karen drove in and I drove the jeep back the next day, have photos so will get those up when I can. It was pretty cool. It's a man car though, lots of arm work to change the ole gears!

We are in Alice Springs right now, where it's topping 40 degrees, I'm passing out. We're off to do the Rock Tour tomorrow and we will be sleeping outdoors for 2 nights!! OMG, imagine me. So I will let ye all know how that went shortly!!
