It's 11.30am.
I am sitting up on the top deck of the ship from Ireland to Wales.... In brilliant sunshine... Not a breath of wind.
Magnificent.
Land has appeared aft or port or starboard.
(It's on the left. )
And I cannot believe how still the sea is.
Up at 5.15am ... Bus 7.15am straight to the Port.
We drove through a small village that is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the visit by JFK. His ancestors left Ireland during the Potato Famine. Apparently, he was able to visit the family farm here.
We drove on the ship on the bus and then all spread out.... Had lunch... Tuna Melt, my new favourite.
Then I settled down and realised there was a movie on so watched Star Trek.... The one that shows all the characters at the beginning when they were young.
The trip across is 3 and 1/2 hours so The movie was relaxing...besides, I knew who survived!
This is amazing. I am sitting in the middle of the Irish Sea in a t-shirt!
I just thought it was always windy when you were at sea.
The views leaving Ireland were amazing and they have a wind farm set right on the coast.
Country Ireland reminded me of looking down the valley to Mr Kurlls valley ....20 or 30 years ago.
The scenery is beautiful ... And the accents are pretty good too.
Would love to come back, rent a cottage and just explore.
So yes Megs...spectacular!!!!
Not sure yet if we have time for a stop at the Millennium Centre in Cardiff.
We are going on a tour of Cardiff Castle.
Yah... My first Castle tour!
Then dinner out tonight.
JUST DOCKED AT FISHGUARD, Mum and Dad!!!!
That was where you watched the ferry leave from, wasn't it? Tried to take photos.
What a beautiful village.
I can see why you stopped there!
