...we get up fresh as daisies and head for America's most powerful waterfalls, on the Canadian side, right after a refreshing breakfast at... KFC (which consists of, yes, you guessed it, fried chicken!)
...we encounter a minor problem at the border because Lucyna didn't bring her passport and Canadian border guys are not too thrilled about the possibility of letting her in
...after a long wait and despite some gentle reasoning and firm persuasion my dad's gf (an American citizen) is turned away from the border and personally escorted back to the American side on foot while we continue by car after answering a few stock questions like "How do you four know each other?"
...my dad and I experience the beauty and the power of Niagara Falls on the Canadian side for the first time in our lives (I've seen in on the US side before, for him it's the first time out of Europe!) and Tamara, despite having been here before is still duly impressed (I hope!)
...we shop for Canadian souvenirs - these guys have a definite fetish for maple syrup and the moose – I buy both!
...we head home – the road is long but weather still fine until we hit NYC. Oh well, you can't have it all!
