Another early start today, had to be at the wharf by 8am. Today we headed for the Great Barrier Reef! We had a lovely small sailing boat which only held 30 people so it wasn't too crowded. Arrived at the reef at 10.30 and got to snorkel an hour or so until lunch was ready. Snorkelling was excellent! After lunch we had an hour on Green Island to have a wander around. Got up earlier today and left around 9.30am. First stop today was at Palm Cove, this was where Robins parents stayed whilst they were here so we thought we'd have a quick look, it looked very nice! Next stop was in Daintree village for a drink. We then had to catch the ferry over Daintree River to make our way to Cape Tribulation. We stopped at a few lookouts along the way, we stopped at a Thornton Beach for lunch, i was hoping there would be lots of chocolat...

As we have the car for the week we are trying to see as much as possible. Today we went to Kuranda, a village in the rainforest. Firstly we stopped at a lookout of the coral sea and the Great Barrier Reef, it was a really clear day so the view was great. We then went for a walk along the Barron River and then drove to the Barron Falls. It has been a really nice day.

Got up and checked out by 10am went for a walk down by the lagoon and read for an hour or so, it started to cloud over so we headed back for some lunch. After lunch we got everything together and waited for Lindsays Mum and Dad outside the hostel. It was really nice to see them after 7 months. Got up early this morning to catch the 8.30 ferry to Fitzroy Island, it took about 45 mins to get there. Had an excellent day, we walked to the summit of the island for some great views of the reefs, spent some time on the beach and also did another walk to a secret garden although it wasn't very secret! Got back quite late so had a macdonalds for tea!
