Well, after almost 58 years, we have touched down on holy ground, Israel!
We can hardly believe it! Israel, the birthplace of our Lord Jesus, and for us, the most holy place on earth.
It's hard to explain but being here seems just right, we have heard people say its like coming home, but it's not quite like that for us, it just feels right; perhaps by the end of our tour we might be able to explain exactly how it feels to be here.
We were met at the airport by our tour operator and welcomed to Israel, we were then whisked away, literally, at speeds of over 100 km per hour. The traffic is chaotic! And pedestrians beware! But the people seem to be very friendly.
At 8:30 in the morning we will be met by our tour guide in the foyer of the Motel. Our group will consist of just Jean and I and our guide! So our tour will be a very personal one, which could be to our advantage.
We are looking forward to this tour, of being able not only to see where our Lord lived and walked, but also to soak up the atmosphere here.

Colin Daines Hey found your blog and really excited for you now thaty have made Israel. Hoppe it all goes well. Lyn and I have been having a good look around south west Wales and today in Cardiff. Much cooler like Sydney and rain about but also some lovely fresh sunny days. Yesterday we found an Apple distributor and bought our card readers 25 pounds about aud$35. Working fine. Wales very green and some lovely villages, gardens and market places. Talk again later COL
